WHAT IS A COTILLION?
A Cotillion is a formal ball where young women are introduced to their local communities by their parents and/or guardians as debutantes. The Cotillion Season is a culmination of seminars, community service, fellowship, education, bonding and family activities which serve to foster each young lady’s future and allow them an opportunity to earn monetary awards towards their savings and/or collegiate education.
Young ladies in 10th, 11th or 12th grade interested in participating as a debutante in the next year’s Cotillion with the Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. should email the committee at: cotillion@unioncountydst.org
Young ladies selected will have an opportunity to experience the following:
Participation in workshops and other learning activities!
Bond with an amazing group of peers!
Raise funds to go towards your college education!
Enjoy the elegance of a cotillion ball event, where debutante participants are presented to families, friends, and community partners!
